You do not need ot pay thousands of rands to plastic surgeons of you are in need of some minor cosmetic surgery any more. With the advancement of technology, non-surgical treatments have become available that are safer and more cost effective. One of these options is fraxel treatments.

Fraxel treatments are non-invasive and do not require that you be under anaesthetic. You may have already undergone some skin treatments and found them to be painful and unpleasant. It does not have to be that way.

Having excess hair on your face is an unpleasant and unattractive feature. One of the older options for removing this hair is waxing. This is especially painful when you do it to your face as the skin on your face is extremely sensitive and does not take kindly to having hot wax poured on it and the hair ripped out by the roots. And you do not have to do it just once, the hair grows back after a few weeks, often thicker and darker than the first time! Instead of waxing, consider a fraxel treatment. The hair is permanently removed in a few treatments. The laser target the base of each individual hair and kills the root, thus preventing the hair from growing back. This fraxel treatment is very effective on coarse, dark hair and least effective on fine light coloured hair.

Fraxel treatments can also be used to treat the varicose veins we all seem to get as we grow older. The Australian Medical Services Advisory Committee has found that laser removal is very effective for varicose vein removal. There are fewer complications involved in fraxel treatment of varicose veins than with the surgical options. The non surgical treatment does not require any anaesthetic or hospitalization and you will be able to carry on with your life immediately after the procedure. It also take a few treatments to be completely effective, but is much safer than the surgical removal of varicose veins. The time that passes between visits is just long enough for your body to recover and be ready for the next bout of vein removal. Giving your body time to adjust to new things is always better for you health then a sudden change and medication to help your body adjust and ward off infection.

Other things that can be done with fraxel treatments are things like microdermabrasion, chemical peels, permanent make-up, removal of excessive pigmentation, photodynamic therapy and a host of other cosmetic procedures that you may feel necessary. Please do note that fraxel treatments to require highly specialised staff and equipment and should not be attempted by just anyone with a laser.

Fraxel treatments are the non-surgical, and non-invasive alternative to expensive plastic surgery recently required for doing minor cosmetic changes. It does not require anaesthetic or hospitalization and is much safer in many cases, than the surgical option. You are able to drive yourself to and from the clinic and continue with your life as if you never had any treatments done at all. The results are definitely noticeable though.

*Disclaimer - Do not undertake any medical treatments without first consulting your family doctor.
